Come child, lay it down…
Grief need not be a concretized, consuming burden.
It’s the overlooked, often un-acknowledged griefs that weigh on us the most,
keeping us in loops of consumption.
There is a child inside each of us that longs to return to our Mother.
That young one within is in constant search of her nourishing Love, looking for it around every corner.
The whales and the Little People teach us that just as the children inside of us long to return to our mother,
so does our Mother Earth equally yearn to return to our bosoms, our bodies, our breath.
Mother Earth yearns to have a dwelling place
inside of our hearts, inside of our hopes and dreams,
and in the noticings of the daily acts of wonder & beauty.
We all know the pain of separation.
Not one of us is exempt from the wound of severance.
This break in belonging drives us to push ourselves into something unrecognizeable to the soul, but compatible to capitalism, consumption + machination.
Our world is desperately in need of those who are willing to pause, slow down, and attune to the rhythmns of the earth. Attune to the rhythmns of nature.
Turn a listening ear to the whispers of all of earth’s children.
In Wails & Wonder- we take a small moment, 90 minutes of our day to pause and attune to theses currents of nature.
To turn our ears toward our hearts.
To the brains in our hearts.
To the brains in our bellies,
the brains in our wombs,
the brains that live beneath the surface of the soil.
We become mycelial, and here we reconstruct our relations.
We open to being remade into something that can repair our human-ness,
re-instate our dignity,
and therein become a medicine for our Soul.
With the aid of our Otherwordly kin who swim in the oceans and dwell in the trees,
we open to being filled with the Love of the Mother that no machine, device or tool of separation can tinker with,
we touch a Love that is indestructible.
May we gather together to tend the oceans of our grief, the gardens of our wonder,
in hopes that we may increasingly free ourselves,
and through tears and chuckles,
growls and whimpers,
whispers and shouts,
nurture and nourish that which we love most dearly
about this beautiful Home
we call earth.
