Set an intention, pick a topic, make a request, and I will write a poem for you and mail it through the post! Poems are a meaningful and timeless memento. I have written poems to sanctify anniversaries, weddings, the living, the dead and the Great In-betweens. I also offer tarot readings that come with a customized poem based on your reading, just email me with a special request for a commission. Was there anything I missed?

* Typically, on the street, patrons give $20 per poem, give or take. Typing the special request and then bringing it to the post office for mailing does require a little extra time on my part, so I like to ask folks to keep that in mind while making their contribution in exchange for a mail-to-order poem. If you would like to receive the poem framed, I can include this for an extra fee.
special commissions
Occasionally I get requests for special commissions. This may look like adding a customized poem to a Tarot reading, as a gift for a birthday, wedding, or special occasion. I have done bundles of pre-recorded tarot readings and poems for women’s gatherings, bachelorette’s and more. Additionally I have done bundled commissions which may look like someone ordering a batch of up to 20 customized poems (you pick the topic) to gift to their friends for the holidays. It is a totally unique and special gift that we can only hope will mean something beautiful to the recipient.

Ever consider having a poet for hire at your wedding or corporate event? I have several years of experience working large parties, where I can produce up to 50 poems (I usually stop counting…) in one evening. A zine is a small circulation, self-published work. Tresses: words curled dried & plaited features some of my earlier writings as a young poet. It is filled with art, illustration, collage and photos, along with original poems. This DIY Zine is Risograph printed, with a Silk Screen cover, making each book unique. Aislinn Kerchaert can be found at her regular post behind her old typewriter at Astoria Sunday Market.
She greets people who approach her with a smile and instructs them to tell her a word, phrase or theme. Then she begins to type a poem inspired by the possibilities of the request.
After a couple of minutes, she faces her patron and offers to give a dramatic reading of the poem.
Kerchaert moved to Astoria from New Orleans. Her background is in writing and performing arts, but she now primarily works as an energy healing practitioner and teaches classes at local businesses, including Designing Health and Yoga Gypsy Sally.
